As the son of a british soldier moving from here to there was normal,we never lived anywhere
longer than 3 Years(my brother was born in Kuala Lumpur,Maylasia),In 1970 my father retired and we moved to Hitchin,Herts....40 miles North of London, not one of the nicest places to call home but i soon made lots of Great Friends who i still miss to this very day,Steve Hyde (bass- player) and Dave Woolford(guitar vocals) are two of them who moved to Germany with me to form the Duncan-Ford-Band,they now live just up the road from me in Bamberg,Steve has his own band CHP who are doing really Great,Dave had throat cancer but thank god he`s well now,he does`nt sing anymore but he is working on Instumental songs at this very moment in time, good luck to you mate, another old old friend of mine(school friend...King`s School Gütersloh)His dad was also in the Army........ Robin Nunn(guitar) is also now living in Bamberg and working at the " Thomann music store " .........I got Lucky with the Willie Duncan Band ......we had the same booking agent as the Spider Murphy Gang who had just landed a #1 hit with Skandal in Sperrbezirk, 8 week at #1,they then had Hit after Hit......during this time my Manager asked me if i would work for them as tour manager, i was low on cash so i said sure why not, which to cut long story short is how in the end i became the 2nd Guitar player in the Band.....I`ve been with the Band now for the last 24 years...good lord how time fly`s...... any way it`s a way of life now and there is no turning back,so we`ll just have to keep on rocking till the very end |
